Phyto Diet Directions

The right Plankton has an almost magical affect when it is added to a marine reef tank - within seconds your animals come to life!

* Tridacnid clams (juveniles & adults) start pulsing as they detect the food in the water.
* Soft and hard corals fully extend their polyps.
* Feather dusters and other types of worms expand.
* Species of herbivorous nudibranchs become active.
* Sponges increase in growth and colouration.

PhytoDiet is a blend of the most important marine phyto plankton, chosen by universities and hatcheries for their superior nutritional value: Pavlova, Isochrysis, Thalassiosira, Tetraselmis and Nannochloropsis.

How Much to Feed?
If you have not used PhytoDiet before, start with 1ml per 100L each day. Your animals will rapidly become accustomed to the phytoplankton and be able to feed on quite a bit more. Common dosage for an average mature system is 1-5ml per 100L each day. Always shake the pouch a few times before opening it. The larger algae cells tend to settle to the bottom.

We recommend placing your skimmer on a timer to turn off for a couple of hours while adding the algae.

Storage.
PhytoDiet must be stored in your refrigerator and cannot be frozen, this will break many of the algae cells.

For aquarium use only - Not for human consumption
